Genesis recently unveiled the updated version of its G70 sport sedan for the North American 2024 market. This edition aims to build upon its predecessors’ features by offering modifications in performance and interior design elements.
Design Elements
For 2024, the G70’s design takes cues from Genesis’ ‘Athletic Elegance’ design principle. An addition to its exterior is an emblem marked with the Guilloché pattern, a design often found in high-end watches. Furthermore, the color range for the exterior has expanded to include shades such as Vatna Gray and Kawah Blue, which Genesis notes are inspired by volcanic landscapes from various global locations.
Engine Specifications
The 2024 G70 model introduces a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine as a standard, with a reported output of 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. This is an enhancement from its previous 2.0-liter model. Additionally, Genesis continues to offer a 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 gasoline engine (365 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque) for those seeking alternative powertrain options. Both engines work with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive comes standard; all-wheel drive is available.
Braking System
An update in the 2024 model is the inclusion of Brembo brakes as a standard feature across all G70 models.
Interior Modifications
The interior of the G70 appears to focus on driver-centric designs. Additions include a touch-type climate control display and a frameless rear-view mirror. Detailing can be seen on various interior elements such as multi-function switches, air vents, and the key FOB. There’s also an extended range of interior colors, with the introduction of two new two-tone combinations.

New Features
The 2024 G70 has incorporated several new features like USB C charging ports and rear side airbags as standard equipment. A notable tech inclusion is the Genesis Digital Key 2 with NFC compatibility, which allows the vehicle to recognize the driver and adjust settings accordingly. This key system also provides an option for sharing access with others.
