Honda has unveiled its 2024 model year lineup for the Talon 1000, a series of sport side-by-sides known for their off-road prowess. Since its debut in 2019, the Talon range has established a reputation for navigating challenging terrain with ease. The 2024 offerings are the most advanced yet, featuring both standard and FOX Live Valve versions. Notably, the standard models now come equipped with a new Showa suspension system, aimed at improving ride comfort and handling large impacts.
Brandon Wilson, Manager of Racing and Experiential Marketing at American Honda, expressed pride in the Talon’s evolution: “As the Talon platform enters its sixth year in production, Honda is pleased to offer such an accomplished collection of sport side-by-sides for 2024. In a relatively short period, the Talon has won over a growing contingent of customers who appreciate the platform’s ability to deliver not only performance, but also reliability and dependability to the off-road experience.”
Talon 1000 Two-Seat Versions
The two-seater Talon 1000 models are designed for different terrains. The 1000X excels in tight, technical areas, while the 1000R is better suited for high-speed, open terrain. Both the 1000R and 1000X models are available with FOX Live Valve technology, featuring adaptive suspension capabilities. The new non-Live Valve models now boast Showa suspension, a result of Honda’s collaboration with Showa engineers, enhancing ride comfort and control.
The color options for these models include Matte Abyss Black for both the Talon 1000R and 1000X, with the FOX Live Valve versions available in Pearl Red and Matte Navy Blue. The MSRP for the Talon 1000R is set at $21,399, and for the Talon 1000X at $20,399. The Talon 1000R FOX Live Valve and Talon 1000X FOX Live Valve are priced at $23,599 and $22,599, respectively. These models will be available starting February.
Talon 1000 Four-Seat Versions
Introduced in 2020, the four-seat Talon 1000 models have expanded the off-road experience to include more passengers. These models are available in both X and R configurations, with the X designed for tighter conditions and the R for higher speeds and open terrain. Like the two-seaters, the four-seat versions come with the option of FOX Live Valve suspension. The standard X model also includes the new Showa shock absorbers.
For color choices, the Talon 1000X-4 comes in Matte Abyss Black, and the FOX Live Valve versions of both the X-4 and R-4 are available in Pearl Red. The Talon 1000X-4 is priced at $22,899, the Talon 1000X-4 FOX Live Valve at $24,899, and the Talon 1000R-4 FOX Live Valve at $25,899, with availability also starting in February.
