Toyota GAZOO Racing continues to push the envelope with the 2025 GR Corolla, introducing significant upgrades that enhance both performance and driver experience. Expanded Transmission Options

The 2025 GR Corolla expands its lineup with the addition of the 8-speed Direct Automatic Transmission, designed for enthusiasts who prefer the convenience of automatic shifting without sacrificing performance. Featuring paddle shifters and optimized gear ratios, this transmission provides quick and intuitive shifting, making it ideal for both track and everyday driving.

Drivers seeking a more hands-on experience can still opt for the updated 6-speed manual transmission with rev matching, ensuring that the GR Corolla meets a wide range of driving preferences.

Performance Enhancements

Engineers at Toyota GAZOO Racing have fine-tuned the GR Corolla’s powertrain, increasing the engine torque to 295 pound-feet (up from 273), matching the performance of the 2023 Morizo special edition. This increase in power is coupled with suspension enhancements, including rebound springs and rear coil improvements, aimed at boosting stability and handling during high-speed cornering.

Additionally, the GR Corolla comes equipped with the GR-FOUR All-Wheel-Drive system, offering exceptional traction and control. The system allows drivers to switch between Normal, Gravel, and Track modes, adjusting front and rear torque distribution to optimize performance based on driving conditions.

Aerodynamic and Cooling Upgrades

The 2025 GR Corolla receives a redesigned front bumper to accommodate new cooling components, including an available sub-radiator and automatic transmission fluid cooler. These enhancements ensure optimal cooling for the powerful turbocharged engine, while also improving aerodynamic performance.

The redesigned air curtains help reduce turbulence around the tires, contributing to greater stability and handling precision.

Premium Plus Grade Added

New for the 2025 model year is the Premium Plus grade, which includes features like a forged carbon fiber roof, vented bulge hood, and matte black wheels. This grade also offers advanced technology, including a Head-Up Display that projects key information onto the windshield, allowing drivers to focus on the road.

Prices start at $45,515 for the manual. Add $2,000 for the automatic transmission. All GR Corolla models add a $1,135 dealer processing fee.

Interior and Technology

Inside, the 2025 GR Corolla is equipped with the latest Toyota Audio Multimedia system, featuring an 8-inch touchscreen and a customizable 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility come standard, along with a suite of connected services such as Safety Connect and Service Connect, offering features like emergency assistance and vehicle health reports.

For an enhanced driving experience, the GR Corolla also includes a complimentary 1-year membership to the National Auto Sport Association (NASA), which provides drivers with the opportunity to participate in a free High-Performance Driving Event.

Safety and Pricing

All 2025 GR Corolla models come standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which includes advanced safety features like Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist. Automatic High Beams and Road Sign Assist further enhance driver awareness and safety.

The 2025 GR Corolla is expected to arrive in dealerships in the fall, with a starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $38,860.

Toyota Performance

The GR Corolla fits seamlessly into Toyota’s high-performance lineup, joining the ranks of the GR 86 and GR Supra. Each of these models, developed under the GAZOO Racing banner, reflects Toyota’s commitment to delivering exhilarating driving experiences. The GR Corolla brings rally-inspired dynamics to the street, while the GR 86 offers a lightweight, rear-wheel-drive sports car for purists. The GR Supra, the flagship of the lineup, blends cutting-edge engineering with iconic heritage. Together, these three models demonstrate GAZOO Racing’s prowess in crafting vehicles that offer thrilling performance and precision handling for driving enthusiasts.
