Other features include a wireless smartphone charger, an available Digital Key for smartphone-based vehicle access and ignition, and a Head-Up Display that projects driving information onto the windshield. The RX also includes ambient LED lighting and multi-zone climate control.

On the Road
Lexus equips the RX with either turbocharged or naturally aspirated engines. There are four powertrain choices available.
As for the RX 450h+, it comes equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with electric motors, delivering a total system output of 304 horsepower.
This arrangement includes an 18.1 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, enabling an EPA-estimated all-electric driving range of 37 miles. The vehicle utilizes an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (eCVT) and comes standard with all-wheel drive.
Potent Powertrain
We found the PHEV’s powertrain system punchy as it offers strong, yet quiet step-off power and robust highway entering acceleration. It does not possess a typical CVT as the inputs are electronic as power routes to the wheels.
