History

The automobile has been around for nearly 140 years, forever revolutionizing private transportation. In 1886, Carl Benz patented the first “vehicle powered by a gas engine,” and the rest is history. Since then, the automobile industry has emerged, consumers bought in, and today billions of private vehicles are in operation.

At DrivenAutos.com, we review new vehicles regularly. We also track used models and classic cars. There is something for everyone here who even has a passing interest in rolling metal. This section features cars of renown as well as to some not particularly well remembered.

What’s Our Criteria?

When it comes to vehicles, we don’t have a criterion for featuring a particular model. That said, any vehicle that catches our attention has the chance.

While perusing our articles, you may have noticed the occasional car show story weaved in. In particular, those articles often feature models that get our attention, resulting in additional research to uncover the background. Even so, quirky models such as the Plymouth Prowler and Nissan Juke are worth a story. But we can’t say the same for every vehicle. As for the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet? Sorry, we’ll take a pass on that one!

Lastly, if you have a model you would like featured, please reach out to us by way of our contact page.
