Sanford Car News: October 2021 Car Show

Sanford Car News, October 2021
At your service: Sanford Car News volunteers.

Most car shows are held in the morning, but there are a few exceptions. Very few, in fact. The Sanford Car News group (Facebook page) in Lee County, North Carolina, holds its monthly event on the fourth Saturday and does so in the afternoon. Although not held for a few months come December, the show remains a popular attraction both for its convenient time and location.

Indeed, a Saturday afternoon car show makes it possible for enthusiasts to find their favorite Cars and Coffee or other special events in the morning, head to lunch, then travel to Sanford for the afternoon event. That the show is held right off Route 1 in a shopping center is noteworthy. Further, the show’s cooperation with the onsite Camelback Brewing Company is a bonus. The brewery supplies the libation and band, while the show’s organizers and volunteers ensure a smooth event.

In all, the Sanford Car News show is one of the best organized this writer has seen in more than seven years of attending such events across central and eastern North Carolina.

Sanford: October 2021

Dozens upon dozens of cars and pickup trucks were on display at the October 2021 Sanford Car News event. Some months, you will see several motorcycles in attendance. On occasion, a special “tractor show” is weaved in. Further, the dynamic may quickly change if a car club shows up. In September 2021, the mostly Mopar “Road Repearz Auto Club” out of Fayetteville, NC, dropped in, maintaining a club habit of visiting and supporting like events across the state.

We captured some of the rides at the most recent Sanford event. There were far more than the two dozen vehicles featured here; time and sun angle limited some of what we were able to feature.

Seasonal Fun

As cooler weather settles in, some shows take a break for a few months, including the Sanford Car News. But now through mid-November is one of the busiest times to take in a meet, with weather conditions typically the best we will see all year.
